Professor Carr (also Professor Automobile) is a supposed professor and has been an inside joke in the Forsen community since 2021.

History

On April 8, 2021, Forsen played the party game "What The Dub?" for the first time, in which short dialogues from film scenes are replaced with self-written answers that are then rated by others. During one round, a scene played in which a man (not visible in the clip) talks to others and says:

I want Professor Carr here before that moment. Any questions?

The players were then tasked with writing a reply for another man. One of them, the famous Stream Sniper FarbrorBarbro and indirect creator of the meme, wrotgave the following reply:

who the fuck is professor car

This answer sparked a brief laughter from Forsen and became a running gag in later rounds, often earning many or most points. To this day, scientists cannot explain what makes the joke so funny, but its dullness and constant repetition have probably contributed to its appeal.

Contrary to some YouTube comments claiming the meme is already dead, it is still very well-known in the Forsen community and continues to generate reactions.

Some might wonder who the fuck Professor Carr really is, so here's the answer.

The film scene is from the Italian science fiction movie War of the Robots (1978) by Alfonso Brescia. The man in red giving the answer is Captain John Boyd (Antonio Sabato) and Professor Carr (Jacques Herlin) is a renowned genetic scientist whose work on creating artificial life is the driving force behind the film's conflict.
