Controversy

• NLC did not pay out many of their 2025 staff, including NLC Stockholm (Leagues Disrupt).
• NLC fired majority of their 2026 Winter Split staff.
• NLC has reported a loss of 8 million DKK / 1m USD for fiscal year 2026.

• In the apology they have allegedly admitted to contractual wrongdoings by saying things like "[We declined certain late fees]".
• NLC wanted to cancel the matchday for Feb 19, 2026, because they had no staff members to host the livestreamed event. After announcing the cancelation, the teams reached out and asked them to go ahead and play anyway without official broadcast.
• According to SheepEsports, some, if not all, of the 2025 staff were offered "payment plans" with an added term that they would have to give up 30% of what they were owed. Supposedly if they couldn't agree to this term, then NLC would have to face bankruptcy.
