"Who dares disturb the Time Wizard? You again? It doesn't end. Give up. You're nothing. What is a man? A miserable little pile of seconds. But enough talk. Have at you!" - Time Wizard
About Jump off the bridge
Jump off the bridge is a game made by Cody Penn. It's a retro platformer with puzzle elements in which the main goal is, as the name implies, jumping off the bridge. No other way of dying is good enough for the character and you cannot proceed to the next level until you manage to do so. The game is actively getting updates to this day as of writing this article.
Forsen played it twice, first on 11-05-2019 and then again on 04-02-2021 after it received an update adding Hardmode.
Easymode
During forsen's first attempt the only difficulty option was "Easymode." The game itself was a mix of platforming, puzzles and general tomfoolery coming from unexpected interactions with the world and characters who, more often than not, would attempt to kill the player in a way different than desired. Avoiding bulls, Super Meat Boy-style platforming, trying not to get shot by one of the three warning shots from a cop, fighting a dragon, climbing a huge tree and so on.
Then, in the 17th level of the game he met him. The Time Wizard himself, who had a very unique entrance (source with a timestamp):
The ridiculousness of encountering a "time wizard", the falling text that kills you, him sliding with confetti firing off behind him, rapidly aging when hit by a clock and hearing any kind of soundtrack since the start of the game? That was already funny enough for forsen.
His attacks involved launching clocks which turn the player old, sickles and clocks that kill you.
But the cherry on top were Time Wizard's constant moans every single every single time forsen would die and then while he was dancing. That was enough for chat to spam a variety of Gachi emotes such as ,
and
. That was all the chat was filled with throughout forsen's struggles to defeat his opponent. After struggling for roughly 12 minutes, the Time Wizard has fallen, claiming however, that
"The Time Wizard never dies! I will return!"
leaving forsen with the curse of old age for the following level, which got cured by a mystery character (source with a timestamp):
From here, the game was getting more and more ridiculous as time passed on, until he got stuck for over an hour at a mirror level. He did, thankfully, manage to finally persevere and beat the Easymode (source with a timestamp):
Forsen stated that it was a good game and he liked it.

In the following couple of days, two things happened.
First, a post appeared on the r/forsen subreddit. It was from the developer of the game who wanted to thank forsen for playing his game, and the bajs, who he spent time chatting with in Forsencord during forsen's playthrough.
"I just wanted to thank Forsen for playing my game Jump Off The Bridge yesterday, and I wanted to thank the community for such a great time. I hung out in the Forsen Discord's #Games chat and was chatting with a few fellows during the gameplay, and it was a blast. If anyone wants to search those Chat logs my name on discord is @CodyPenn."
"Thanks for being an awesome community!" - Cody Penn
He actually provided the lore of the Time Wizard, at the request of one of the comments:
Alright, so not to bore you with the in-depth life story stuff, but here we go.
If you go into the Sxy Pub, and sit in the chairs to the right, for 5 minutes, I come out on stage and recite a poem and play some music I wrote. The first song is a short song about Time, and it being a sort've enemy to me. I lost my seasonal job this year, and spent the winter grinding out a majority of the content for JOTB. In essence I was hardpressed for time. I spent hundreds of hours programming, spriting, and designing, with the constant lack of time and a lack of a job. Within that pressure, came the Time Wizard.
It began with me wanting to personify time and defeat it, which is where the Father Time personification traits came in: sickles, wheat, clocks, etc. But I didn't want the boss to be depressing, so I mixed it with Masaki Sumitani's character: Razor Ramon Hard Gay. Who is essentially a buff dude that walks around Japan yelling "HARD GAY" and thrusting the air repeatedly.
He also shared some sprites and audio files, which can be found in the post.
Second, a video was uploaded to YouTube by CPHMANIA (also known as DJFGT or DJFortniteGamerTwitch). The video was a Gachi song including the Time Wizard's audio files. It's an absolute banger and, as of writing this article, is CPHMANIA's most viewed video on YouTube. It also caused a lot of spam whenever it played in the Minecraft playlist during his speedruns.
Hardmode
Roughly 1.5 years later, on February 4, 2021, the Hardmode update released alongside another post to r/forsen by the developer, who thanked the community for the support and expressed appreciation for opportunity to make content forsen enjoys. That being said, his Patrons from Patreon helped him shape the update through voting. Giving bajs any kind of artistic freedom? What could go wrong?
Forsen played it on the day of release. Chat was already filled with the well-known by now spam from the speedrunning days:
OH
AH
UH
THE
TIME
WIZARD
OH
AH
UH
THE
TIME
WIZARD
After playing around with some settings as per tradition, he entered the difficulty selection screen and was greeted with a familiar face:
The hardmode started in front of what seemed like a night club. The bridge he was supposed to jump off was blocked off by a vomiting guy and his buddy, so his only option was to check out the club. Shortly after entering, he ignores the "WANT[sic] DEAD" poster, and thus the hunt has begun (source with a timestamp):
And while he was enjoying being buried beneath almost a dozen of half naked ripped men, he remembered that he's live and probably should continue playing.
While avoiding the staff, more familiar faces could be spotted in the background, namely
- Ugandan Knuckles
- FeelsDankMan
Gotta give it to the Time Wizard though, his art taste is quite profound (source with a timestamp):
Let's hope this close encounter with a lady and a horse hasn't left him traumatized for the rest of his life.
After some more tomfoolery, he finally entered the throne room only for him to find out that indeed, Time Wizard's claim about his return was true. He was sitting on his throne, a glass in his hand, ready to throw his first attack at the unsuspecting forsen. It consisted of the, now legendary, monologue (source with a timestamp):
After this introduction, forsen was challenged to a high stakes Dance Dance Revolution-style battle. He handled this part fairly well, only spending a few minutes here, though he got very lucky with the last throw (source with a timestamp):
However, up until now, the Time Wizard has been a normal wizard at most, not really utilizing his Time abilities. This was about to change with the next encounter. This part took whopping 95 minutes to complete. 60 of which he needed to even understand what he was supposed to do in the first place.
The fight revolved around the clock in the background as well as three differently shaped hourglasses. By breaking a specific hourglass, he was able to snapshot the thing it portrayed: the player, a sickle or the Time Wizard. Every time the hour hand of the clock reached 12, all snapshots became reality, allowing a sickle to hit the Time Wizard.
However, once he adapted to Time Wizard's magical shenanigans, this section too eventually ended with the God Gamer's victory (source with a timestamp):
But it wasn't over just yet. One more fight. Falling down the tower, dodging clockworks and Time Wizard's charges and smashing his face while he's dizzy. it was the shortest section, as forsen is known for his love for brute force solutions. In the end, they both bust through the tower's walls and end up at a bridge where the Time Wizard gives a short speech that was kinda ruined by the loud music (source with a timestamp):
"[Laughs] You've reminded me of a great friend. Your persistence is admirable. Child, you've come so far. I've long yearned for this hope. Of which, only you are responsible. But... YOU'RE NOT DONE YET!" - Time Wizard
Final death count: 213
As a followup, the developer edited the previously mentioned post, of course sharing sprites, sounds as well as his thoughts after watching forsen play the game.
"Edit 2: Forsen's stream was hilarious today. Thank you everyone for encouraging Forsen to play the Time Wizard. Also I'm sorry for some of those scuffed bugs, I'm going to have most of them patched by tomorrow, as well as some subtitles for the End Cutscene, and some better clarity on the Time Wizard fight part 2, to indicate that he can only take damage during the kick. My two favorite parts during the stream was when chat started figuring out the Time Mechanics, and started spamming ACOUSTICDEV, I was rolling. As well as when Forsen figured out he could get and extra life by saving his position in time: "You just have to die to be safe! Dead, REVIVE." Thank you everyone again for the hype and the support! <3" - Cody Penn
Forsen said it was pretty good, pretty hard, but pretty good. Someone in chat suggested a speedrun, but he declined.
"I can't wait to play the next one" but he never did.
Of course, a couple of weeks later, CPHMANIA (also known as DJFGT or DJFortniteGamerTwitch) came back with the follow-up song, because "The Time Wizard never dies!" Of course it was as much of an instant classic as the first one, though not as popular.
