You again? It doesn't end. Give up. You're nothing. What is a man? A miserable little pile of seconds. But enough talk. Have at you!\" - Time Wizard Time Wizard, flexing THE TIME WIZARD Jump off the bridge is a retro platformer game with puzzle elements made by Cody Penn. The main goal of the game is, as the name implies, to jump off the bridge as no other way of dying is good enough for the character and you cannot proceed to the next level until you manage to do so. As of the publishing date of this article, the game is actively getting updates. Forsen played it twice, first on May 11th 2019 and then again on February 4th 2021 after it received an update adding Hardmode. Easymode During forsen's first attempt the only difficulty option was \"Easymode.\" The game itself is general tomfoolery coming from unexpected interactions with the world and characters who, more often than not, would attempt to kill the player in a way different than desired. Sometimes the character had to avoid bulls, sometimes having to do Super Meat Boy-style platforming, trying not to get shot by one of the three warning shots from a cop, other times fighting a dragon or climbing a huge tree and so on. Then, in the 17th level of the game he met him: 76824b5106405974b55ef599465f02c25c2abba3b3d823a66ea58fa96003a928YouTube timestamp The ridiculousness of encountering a \"time wizard\", the falling text that kills you, him sliding with confetti firing off behind him, rapidly aging when hit by a clock and hearing any kind of soundtrack since the start of the game? That was already ridiculous enough for forsen. His attacks involved launching clocks which turn the player old and sickles and clocks that kill you but the cherry on top were The Time Wizard's constant moans every single, I repeat, every single time forsen would die and repeat The Time Wizard's dance routine. It started an avalanche for chat to spam a variety of Gachi emotes such as , and . It was the only things the chat was filled with throughout forsen's struggles to defeat The Time Wizard. But alas, after struggling for roughly 12 minutes, The Time Wizard fell with the final words, \"The Time Wizard never dies! I will return!\" And leaving forsen with the curse of old age for the following level, which got cured by a mystery character: b46e2003579844b635a6f87698870b791f52e1b91186231c527a472a6293b6dbYouTube timestamp From here, the game was getting more and more ridiculous as time passed on, until he got stuck for over an hour at a mirror level. He did, thankfully, manage to finally persevere and beat the Easymode: ae2df0541192c28cab779e535a24de658e376c4a5fa12a4f03b8b0c942cca961YouTube timestamp Forsen stated that it was a good game and he liked it. Final death count: 563 In the following days, the bajs would be reached out to by the game dev himself and providing them with more than what they bargained for. First, a post appeared on the r/forsen subreddit. It was from the developer of the game who wanted to thank forsen for playing his game, and the bajs, who he spent time chatting with in Forsencord during forsen's playthrough. \"I just wanted to thank Forsen for playing my game Jump Off The Bridge yesterday, and I wanted to thank the community for such a great time. I hung out in the Forsen Discord's #Games chat and was chatting with a few fellows during the gameplay, and it was a blast. If anyone wants to search those Chat logs my name on discord is @CodyPenn.\" \"Thanks for being an awesome community!\" - Cody Penn, in an r/forsen subreddit post He actually provided the lore of the Time Wizard, at the request of one of the comments: Alright, so not to bore you with the in-depth life story stuff, but here we go. If you go into the Sxy Pub, and sit in the chairs to the right, for 5 minutes, I come out on stage and recite a poem and play some music I wrote. The first song is a short song about Time, and it being a sort've enemy to me. I lost my seasonal job this year, and spent the winter grinding out a majority of the content for JOTB. In essence I was hardpressed for time. I spent hundreds of hours programming, spriting, and designing, with the constant lack of time and a lack of a job. Within that pressure, came the Time Wizard. It began with me wanting to personify time and defeat it, which is where the Father Time personification traits came in: sickles, wheat, clocks, etc. But I didn't want the boss to be depressing, so I mixed it with Masaki Sumitani's character: Razor Ramon Hard Gay. Who is essentially a buff dude that walks around Japan yelling \"HARD GAY\" and thrusting the air repeatedly. - Cody Penn, in response to a comment asking for clarification He also shared some sprites and audio files, which can be found in his Google Drive. Second, a video was uploaded to YouTube by CPHMANIA (also known as DJFGT or DJFortniteGamerTwitch). The video was a Gachi song including the Time Wizard's audio files. It's an absolute banger and is one of the most popular videos on CPHMANIA's YouTube. It is also a trigger treat for the bajs as every time it plays on stream, the bajs spam The Time Wizard copypastas as can be seen in many of forsen's Minecraft speedruns thanks to its inclusion in the Minecraft music playlist. https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/aC48Cm1eWLYHardmode Roughly 1.5 years later, on February 4, 2021, the Hardmode update released alongside another post to r/forsen by the developer, who thanked the community for the support and expressed appreciation for opportunity to make content forsen enjoys. That being said, his Patrons from Patreon helped him shape the update through voting. Giving bajs any kind of artistic freedom? What could go wrong? Forsen played it on the day of release. Chat was already filled with the well-known by now spam from the speedrunning days: OH AH UH THE TIME WIZARD OH AH UH THE TIME WIZARD After playing around with some settings as per tradition, he entered the difficulty selection screen and was greeted with a familiar face: The hardmode started in front of what seemed like a night club. The bridge he was supposed to jump off of was blocked off by a vomiting guy and his buddy, so his only option was to check out the club. Shortly after entering, he ignores the \"WANT[sic] DEAD\" poster, and thus the hunt has begun: a04f0620eeb55eb1a4e94bb2480707eb8f9c557f3ea04aa06bd3ca49e359fdf9YouTube timestamp And while he was enjoying being buried beneath almost a dozen of half naked ripped men, he remembered that he's live and probably should continue playing. After some more tomfoolery, he finally entered the throne room only for him to find out that indeed, Time Wizard's claim about his return was true. He was sitting on his throne, a glass in his hand, ready to throw his first attack at the unsuspecting forsen.
