Background

In November 15, 2025 forsen announced that NLC offered him to have a team playing in their pro league. NLC had initially asked forsen to \"coach\" a team of pro players but he had insisted that he'd have to play on the team as a jungler.


His insistence on playing with the team made Riot Games consider a one-off for forsen, which created a conflict with the other teams who had to follow the official rulebook regarding player ranks.


Riot Games states that NLC local teams have no hard requirement for ranks, however forsen's team is not playing locally within a nation and is instead playing on the ERL tier.


The ERL rulebook for 2026 states the following:

1.7.1 All Players on a Team Roster must have held a peak rating of Diamond 3 or above in 5v5 Summonerโ€™s Rift Ranked Solo/Duo or Ranked Flex at least once in the current ranked split or in one of the two previous ranked splits.

To make sure forsen is able to play, the fan theory is that Riot Games seems to have reduced his requirement down to only needing to gain Emerald rank before the league starts January 15, 2026.


In anticipation of this, forsen spent latter half of December 2025 to gain a higher rank and because he is team captain he has to do all of the 1v1 NLC qualifications.

NLC had this to say about forsen:

Despite widespread debate over his Platinum/Emerald rank compared to his Challenger teammates, Forsen aims to prove his \"God Gamer\" status by competing in the official EMEA regional circuit alongside veterans like Pobelter and Drututt.

โ€œHe said that jungle is the easiest role to be carried in when competing, because all he needs to do is clear camps [...] Forsen is our captain. The NLC bent the rules so he could play.โ€

Veigar v2 gets benched, Rychly replaces

On Thursday, Jan 22nd, 2026, after the team's third defeat, Pobelter suggests benching Veigar so he can instead coach them during scrims, and find another support. They go back to the old tweet where forsen announced he's making a team, to find a new support player. Rychly replied on the forsen tweet that he was a current grand master support interesting in joining the team.


One day after, on Friday, Jan 23rd, 2026, they played their first scrim with the new support player that nobody had yet known about until they joined the lobby. Rychly, the 7+ years followage forsen baj helped give the team their first scrim win.


It seems Veigar v2 has been fired from yet another team, this time by Team Forsen. Forsen.

Ruddy Corporation has had several good splits before this one, with several 2nd & 3rd placements in previous NLC tournaments. However for this split, Ruddy Corporation was unable to find a roster which wasn't helped by the CEO having what seemed to be several meltdowns on social media about the state of the NLC, and holding the opinion that it turned from a professional league to a \"WWE\" style entertainment show.

Before the game had started, Polymarket volume for this game had reached over 100,000 USD which is the most of any NLC game yet. The next most highest volume at the time of this being written (Feb 5, 2026), was La Bombas VS LEO at 79k USD. The total volume for this game was 145k USD.


During the post-game interview on @nlclol with @donjake1 (Don Jake), he decided to troll the broadcast by being seemingly upset at the loss but also being upset at NLC. The chaos that ensued during the interview might be the highlight of the event so far.


During the interview, Don Jake mentioned that his top laner played badly, asking the question to whether the top laner had a polymarket bet against his team with Don Jake jokingly saying \"He just made 400,000 dollars from this game, and I'm not going to see any of it\".

Background In November 15, 2025 forsen announced that NLC offered him to have a team playing in their pro league. NLC had initially asked forsen to \"coach\" a team of pro players but he had insisted that he'd have to play on the team as a jungler. His insistence on playing with the team made Riot Games consider a one-off for forsen, which created a conflict with the other teams who had to follow the official rulebook regarding player ranks. Riot Games states that NLC local teams have no hard requirement for ranks, however forsen's team is not playing locally within a nation and is instead playing on the ERL tier. The ERL rulebook for 2026 states the following: 1.7.1 All Players on a Team Roster must have held a peak rating of Diamond 3 or above in 5v5 Summonerโ€™s Rift Ranked Solo/Duo or Ranked Flex at least once in the current ranked split or in one of the two previous ranked splits. To make sure forsen is able to play, the fan theory is that Riot Games seems to have reduced his requirement down to only needing to gain Emerald rank before the league starts January 15, 2026. In anticipation of this, forsen spent latter half of December 2025 to gain a higher rank and because he is team captain he has to do all of the 1v1 NLC qualifications. Rychly replied on the forsen tweet that he was a current grand master support interesting in joining the team. One day after, on Friday, Jan 23rd, 2026, they played their first scrim with the new support player that nobody had yet known about until they joined the lobby.
